Ousmane Dembélé Continues Positive Barcelona to PSG Adaptation: Sets Impressive Ligue 1 Stat

Ousmane Dembélé continues to make progressive strides in his last few games as his adaptation from FC Barcelona to PSG continues. The 26-year-old picked up his first assist last Sunday in the 4-0 win over Olympique de Marseille.

Furthermore, the winger’s creativity continued this weekend despite the capital club drawing 0-0 against Clermont Foot, who is battling relegation to start this 2023–24 Ligue 1 season.

WhoScored.com pointed out on Twitter that Dembélé created three clear-cut goalscoring opportunities in PSG’s 0-0 draw with Clermont Foot on Saturday, a record in a Ligue 1 match this season.

If the Parisians want to go into St. James’ Park and pick up three points over Newcastle on Wednesday, they’ll need this Dembélé to show up. Additionally, the strikers must convert the chances that the former Barcelona star creates.

Taking advantage of these chances could be the difference in getting a stranglehold in Group F with a win or putting themselves into a fight after two matchdays.

  1. He blew the game for PSG by shanking two easy chances at goal. Typical Dembele. All smoke, no fire.
