Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan will meet on Oct. 25 in the UEFA Champions League. The back-to-back games between the two clubs will be crucial as one team will look to position themselves to qualify for the knockout stages.
The match will see Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan face a few teammates on the France national team, including Kylian Mbappé. Nonetheless, the 28-year-old goalkeeper stated that the matchups aren’t a topic of conversation between the two during this international break.
“Kylian is a world-class player,” Maignan told reporters (h/t Canal Supporters). “He is one of the best players in the world. We learn every day with these players. We’re not talking too much about the Champions League match next week yet.”
Milan is currently third, and PSG is in second place in Group F. If the capital club wants to stay in the two qualifying spots, they need at least four points. The French giants must advance to the knockout stages to show Mbappé the club is heading in the right direction.
These two matches will mean a lot more than six points for PSG. It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks.
