Kylian Mbappé Transfer: How Real Madrid Plans to Fill Benzema’s Shoes

Real Madrid might have received the hint that Kylian Mbappé has no desire to play the No. 9 role. This past summer, Paris Saint-Germain signed two strikers to take over the position, allowing the 24-year-old to the wing.

Meanwhile, the Spanish giants are looking to replace Karim Benzema, who left for Saudi Arabia. Los Blancos did bring in Joselu, but he’s not the long-term replacement for the Frenchman.

Furthermore, Real Madrid isn’t penciling Mbappé as their next striker. Spanish media outlet AS reports (h/t Le10Sport) that Endrick should take the No. 9 left by Benzema.

The Merengue club continues to trust the potential of the young Brazilian, whose arrival is planned for next summer. As a result, if the La Liga side continues pursuing the PSG star, it will be interesting to see where they plan to play him.

Mbappé’s possible arrival would likely spell the end of Rodrygo in the starting 11 for Real Madrid. Whether that means the Brazilian will come off the bench or seek a move remains to be seen. Nonetheless, if Mbappé does sign, he and Vinicius Jr. will probably be starting on the wing.
