Manchester United Eyes This PSG Defender; How Much Will Crystal Palace Target Cost?

The January transfer window is a few months away from opening, but that isn’t stopping the rumors. Manchester United have their eyes on a particular Paris Saint-Germain defender; meanwhile, the French giants could have set their asking price for a Crystal Palace transfer target.

Manchester United wants to improve their backline for the second half of the 2023–24 season. So, who could the Red Devils have in mind to help them climb the Premier League table and fight for a top-four spot?

According to Football Transfers, manager Erik Ten Hag wants to bring a right back to Manchester United in January and sees PSG defender Nordi Mukiele as a viable target.

The report adds that the Dutch tactician isn’t a fan of Aaron Wan Bissaka’s temperament. Ten Hag believes the former England international does not have the character conducive to forging a successful side.

What could Hugo Ekitike cost an interested club?

Speaking of Premier League clubs, Hugo Ekitike has a market in England’s top competition. The 21-year-old was linked to clubs and even pushed for a loan deal with Crystal Palace. The capital club wants to offload the player, as the young striker is an afterthought at PSG.

Now, how much could the French giants secure for the goal-scorer? CBS Sports’ Jonathan John speculated in his recent column for Caughtoffside about the fee that PSG could secure.

“Realistically, PSG would now be lucky to get a paid loan with a view to a permanent transfer for around €20m if everything were to go well, but I think it’s clear they’re going to have to accept a significant hit on this transfer unless he can go out on loan and really impress and build up some value,” Johnson wrote.
