When PSG loaned the Dutchman to the German club, it was a straight loan with no options included. Finally, the other option is a sale, which is what Manchester City and Real Madrid would want if they’re serious about pursuing Simons.
So, what’s going to happen? It will all depend likely on where Luis Enrique and PSG see Simons. The capital club does need a creator in the midfield, which Simons can be, so it will be interesting to see what the Ligue 1 giants decide.
