Xavi Simons is playing well with RB Leipzig, and his form draws the attention of top European clubs. The 20-year-old is building off a successful 2022–23 season with PSV Eindhoven, and now several decisions need to be made about his future.
Simons likely knows his profile is rising, with clubs like Manchester City and Real Madrid reportedly linked to him. Nonetheless, the future of the youngster isn’t yet determined. Therefore, there are a lot of options that he can take next summer.
Le Parisien reports that the scenarios for Simons include a return to PSG if he enters into the plans and the assurance of playing. Furthermore, there’s the possibility of a loan extension with RB Leipzig.

When PSG loaned the Dutchman to the German club, it was a straight loan with no options included. Finally, the other option is a sale, which is what Manchester City and Real Madrid would want if they’re serious about pursuing Simons.
So, what’s going to happen? It will all depend likely on where Luis Enrique and PSG see Simons. The capital club does need a creator in the midfield, which Simons can be, so it will be interesting to see what the Ligue 1 giants decide.
