Xavi Simons is flourishing in his loan stint with RB Leipzig. After spending one season with PSV Eindhoven, the 20-year-old returned to Paris Saint-Germain, who loaned him to the German club.
The midfielder is drawing many eyes due to his play, and two of the top European clubs are kicking around to see if Simons can become available. SPORT BILD reports that Real Madrid and Manchester City have emerged as frontrunners to secure the promising talent.
Both clubs have closely monitored Simons’ performances, demonstrating their strong interest in securing his services next summer. The youngster cannot stay at RB Leipzig past the 2023–24 season.

With the potential to play various attacking roles, he has showcased his ability to influence the game with his vision and ability to score crucial goals. It comes as no surprise that Simons is drawing a lot of attention.
Nonetheless, it’s doubtful that PSG offloads the talented midfielder and will be part of the club’s future. The Ligue 1 giants need that creator in the midfield for next season, and Simons could slide into that role.
