Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe is inching closer to his return to the pitch. While the Frenchman likely wants to be ready for when it’s to hit the pitch, he must also be conscious about his future.
Kimpembe can become a free agent after this 2023-24 season. As a result, unless he signs an extension with PSG before January 1, 2024, he can talk with any club over a pre-contract.
Nonetheless, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that one of the clubs that’s not in the mix for the 28-year-old is FC Barcelona. Romano told CaughtOffside that the Blaugrana are not pursuing the French defender as things stand.

The PSG defender is currently rehabbing an Achilles tendon rupture. Any club that has their eyes on Kimpembe, and even PSG, for that matter, wants to see how the player looks coming off this severe injury.
Kimpembe has made 236 appearances during his time with the French giants. Furthermore, he has scored three goals and registered two assists.
