Major Move? Ex-PSG Executive to Play Key Role at Manchester United – Report

Paris Saint-Germain won’t have a direct connection to Manchester United via the ownership group. However, there’s still a link to the Red Devils.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe will grab a significant part of the Premier League club as part of his bid. Ratcliffe is set to buy 25 percent of Manchester United for £1.3 billion. All of this comes after Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani pulled out of the bid.

Sheikh Jassim’s offer, which valued United at more than £5 billion, was believed to be the only bid for 100 percent of the club.

What does this have to do with PSG exactly?

Well, Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol reports that former general director of PSG and CEO of Juventus Jean-Claude Blanc could be set for a vital role at Manchester United under Ratcliffe.

Blanc left the Ligue 1 giants last December to become CEO of INEOS Sport, starting in February 2023. Blanc oversees the entire INEOS Sport portfolio, including Football, Formula 1, Sailing, Cycling, Rugby, and Running.

As a result, it is no surprise Blanc will take an essential role at Manchester United.
