Elye Wahi’s Stunning Performance vs. Arsenal Overtakes Mbappé In Impressive Stat

RC Lens’ 2-1 win over Arsenal is one of the surprising results of Matchday 2.

The French club secured a draw against Sevilla FC away from home, so it was a tall task heading into the second week to get a victory over the Gunners. Nonetheless, somehow, the French club secured all three points.

One of the stars of Lens’ win over the Premier League club on Tuesday at the Estadio Bollaert-Delelis was forward Elye Wahi. LiveScore pointed out on Twitter that the 20-year-old made history in the impressive victory.

Wahi became the youngest Frenchman to score and assist in a UEFA Champions League match since Kylian Mbappé in December 2018 for PSG. Furthermore, the youngster has the Ligue 1 side in a good position after two matchdays.

Lens currently sits atop Group B with four points. Furthermore, the French club will have back-to-back matches against PSV Eindhoven, where two positive results could put them within reaching distance of qualifying for the knockout stages.
