Paris Saint-Germain has seen various players come through their youth academy and go on to construct quality careers outside of France. One of the talents left for greener pastures is Crystal Palace’s Odsonne Édouard.
Édouard left the French capital permanently to join Celtic in 2018 and eventually joined the Premier League club in 2021. Nonetheless, the 25-year-old recently spoke with Téléfoot and answered a question from another former PSG youth product, Jonathan Ikoné, about his favorite club.
“I have always kept this link with PSG: when I started football, my dream was to play for PSG and to score at the Parc des Princes,” Édouard told the French media outlet. “Why not one day!”

PSG has seen various talented players come through their youth academy, and some, like Presnel Kimpembe and Warren Zaïre-Emery, have established themselves as starters. However, others have needed to leave for more minutes and further their careers.
Still, even when these players leave, their love for PSG remains. Under this new project, the capital club wants to hold onto top French talent rather than see them flourish elsewhere.
It will be interesting to see if players of Édouard’s caliber can display their talents and earn a spot on the team rather than leaving for greener pastures.
