Real Madrid was linked to Kylian Mbappé this summer for a second straight year. While there were many rumors, a move to the Spanish capital club didn’t occur. Nonetheless, that might not be a big deal.
Supporters of Los Blancos are captivated by Jude Bellingham to start this 2023-24 season. Furthermore, El Chiringuito host Josep Pedrerol believes that Bellingham has many forgotten the Mbappé saga.
“Who remembers Mbappé? The arrival of Bellingham changed everything,” Pedrerol said (h/t Le10Sport). “His statistics, his charisma, his commitment… Madridismo appreciates Bellingham.”
Pedrerol isn’t the only one taking a dig at the PSG star while praising Bellingham. Former midfielder José María Gutiérrez took a swipe at Mbappé.
“Real Madrid fans love Bellingham so much because he wanted to come to Madrid,” Gutiérrez said on the broadcast.

The La Liga side recruited the Englishman for €103 million from Borussia Dortmund this past summer. The 20-year-old midfielder has already found the net 10 times in 10 matches in all competitions. He also provided three assists to his teammates.
Bellingham’s goal production has already replaced the worries over losing Karim Benzema, who left for Saudi Arabia this past summer.
The midfielder could change club president Florentino Pérez’s mind regarding Mbappé. Nonetheless, Real Madrid is banking on the arrival of the PSG star in the summer of 2024
