Paris Saint-Germain was in the mix for a No. 9 this summer transfer window. The capital club was linked to various names, including former Atalanta goal scorer Rasmus Højlund.
The French club vied for the 20-year-old’s signature alongside Manchester United. In a report from The Athletic, Højlund listened politely to the pitch from PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Nonetheless, when the conversation ended, the striker’s mind remained unchanged, and he wanted his move to Old Trafford. After it was all said and done, the Danish striker got his move to the Red Devils.

The Premier League club paid £64 million plus another £8 million in add-ons for Højlund to complete his move. As for PSG, while they might have been disappointed that they didn’t land their target, the Parisians came out of the transfer window with two strikers.
PSG secured Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani to provide the goal-scoring from the No. 9 position. Both players have yet to register their first goal with the Ligue 1 side, but the flood gates should open once they get that first strike.
