Lionel Messi continues to be a talking point around Paris Saint-Germain. Talking points from his two seasons are beginning to come to light, with the latest being an altercation with Vitinha last campaign.
L’Equipe reports that Messi and Vitinha had an altercation in training at the start of 2023, during which the Argentine yelled out, saying, “Not only are you weak, but you’re hurting me.” This scuffle reportedly ended up finishing Vitinha’s confidence.

However, the PSG midfielder is coming out and denying any altercation between the two former teammates. Vitinhia went on Twitter to set the record straight of the report from the French media outlet.
“I don’t usually comment on anything in the press, but this time, I have to say it,” Vitinha wrote on Twitter. “It is completely false that this happened.”

Messi left this summer transfer window when his contract with PSG expired on June 30. Afterward, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner went on to sign with Inter Miami, where he won Leagues Cup 2023. Nonetheless, his exit from Paris wasn’t the greatest which is why Messi might have some resentment.
As for Vitinha, the Portugal international is starting on the right foot this 2023-24 season. Furthermore, the 23-year-old was named Man of the Match in PSG’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes.
