PSG & Real Madrid’s Near-Miss of Harry Kane Before Bayern Munich Move

Paris Saint-Germain were in the market for a striker this summer transfer window. One of the many targets linked to the capital club was former Tottenham Hotspur goal-scorer Harry Kane.

Kane was on the move this summer as the Premier League side couldn’t allow him to leave as a free agent next summer. As a result, the 30-year-old eventually moved to Bayern Munich for £100 million, potentially rising to £120 million with various incentivized add-ons.

Nonetheless, Kane had other suitors as The Athletic reported that Real Madrid had put in a £60 million bid for Harry Kane before the England captain moved to Bayern Munich this summer. Furthermore, PSG also approached to inquire about the veteran.

The Ligue 1 giants eventually pivoted to other strikers to solve their No. 9 situation. PSG signed Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani to battle out to be the go-to goal scorer this 2023-24 season.

Neither player has scored their first goal with the French side, but it’s only a matter of time before these two are scoring goals.
