Napoli Bound? Ex-PSG Coach’s Next Destination Could Be Serie A

Former Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier could be ready to jump back into managing. The 57-year-old has been out of a job since being sacked in early July.

However, his name is beginning to surface with teams now looking to make a change in the manager position. According to RMC Sport, Serie A could be Galtier’s next coaching destination.

The French media outlet notes that Napoli has inquired about Galtier’s situation. The president of the Italian club, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is already preparing for the future, while Rudi Garcia has four matches to reverse the squad’s current trend.

After winning the league last season, Napoli is seventh in the Serie A standings and three points out of a UEFA Champions League spot for the 2024-25 campaign. De Laurentiis likely wants his club in contention for Europe’s top competition if they cannot get back into the race for the league title.

Napoli is seven points behind league-leading Inter Milan early on this season. The squad led by Garcia also picked up a 2-1 win over Braga on Matchday 1 of the Champions League.

If Garcia doesn’t turn around what’s occurring in the league and struggles to qualify for the knockout stage, he could soon be out of a job.
