The future of Kylian Mbappé will be a topic of discussion until the 24-year-old decides on his future. All summer, the Frenchman was linked to Real Madrid after he opted not to trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025.
Nonetheless, a move to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium didn’t occur. Los Blancos likely wants to acquire the player as a free agent to avoid paying a transfer fee. Still, Lucas Hernandez hopes the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner spurns Real Madrid again.
The Paris Saint-Germain defender, who arrived this summer, weighed in on his club and national teammate’s future.
“We are talking about one of the best players in the world. It’s better to have him with us than against us,” Hernandez said. “There were uncertainties, but now he is with us. He is doing us extraordinary good. I hope he will stay a long time in Paris with us.”

Hernandez wasn’t the only one to comment on the future of the PSG star as Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni spoke about the Mbappé saga. While the former AS Monaco player stuck to the public relations script, he did leave the door open for the winger possibly joining them in the future.
