Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot Gives Honest Take About Possible PSG Return

Occasionally, the media asks a former Paris Saint-Germain youth player about returning to the French capital. The latest is Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot, who played for the Ligue 1 side at youth and senior team level.

Although Rabiot’s exit from PSG wasn’t the best, there was recent speculation over a possible return to his boyhood club. The 28-year-old was back playing at the Parc des Princes in France’s 2-0 win over Ireland on Thursday.

During the postgame scrum with reporters, Rabiot answered a question about whether he’d consider a return to PSG.

“Coming back to PSG? I was expecting that one (laughs),” Rabiot said. “No, for the moment, I am not at all on it. I’m focused on Juve, focused on the France team, very happy with what we did [Thursday night], and we’ll see what happens next.”

Rabiot’s contract with Juventus expires next summer, and he’ll be 29, so the midfielder will still be in his prime. Furthermore, PSG has always explored the free agent market.

If both parties can repair bridges, would a Rabiot return make sense? Rabiot would bring size to the midfield, so it will be interesting to see if PSG makes a move should he leave Juventus.
