Suprising Twist? Ex-Barcelona Chief Could Be PSG, Tottenham Bound

Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos has long had his future in the French capital questioned. The Portuguese club chief can be seen as a freelancer, considering Campos also works for Celta Vigo. However, could PSG look to fill the role full-time?

SPORT reported on Saturday that Atlético de Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur are the names taking stock in former FC Barcelona leader Mateu Alemany.

Still, the Spanish club chief does not want to rush into the decision, despite Alemany being fond of the Atlético de Madrid job.

Nonetheless, the three clubs are still not 100 percent concrete options. The Parisian and London teams would exceed the Madrid side’s economic proposal.

Alemany left his position as football director at Barça to make way for the arrival of Deco, who has assumed full powers in the sports area of Barcelona this summer.

The departure could have come months before when he had already agreed to join Aston Villa, but the leader finally declined the option.

It will be interesting to see what PSG decides. If Alemany has a good working relationship with manager Luis Enrique, it could entice him even more to head to the French capital.

PSG might have to begin a post-Kylian Mbappé era, and Alemany could be the candidate to help the Ligue 1 giants navigate this possible new chapter.
