The defense at Paris Saint-Germain had a makeover this past summer transfer window with the arrivals of Lucas Hernandez and Milan Škriniar. However, could there have been another addition? Fikayo Tomori was reportedly on PSG’s radar.
PSG wants to generate competition and depth with their new signings from this past summer. While the defense did see changes, there could have been another addition at the center-back position.
According to Calciomercato, Tomori turned down a move to PSG during the summer to stay at AC Milan. The 25-year-old is under contract until 2027, so the Ligue 1 side would’ve cost them significantly.

Presnel Kimpembe will be coming back soon, but PSG may want to ease the Frenchman back, and it also doesn’t hurt to have depth. Right now, it’s Škriniar and Marquinhos commanding the starting roles. Nonetheless, poor form and injury can change that.
During the winter transfer window, PSG could add a low-cost center-back for depth to have four reliable players to rotate for the second half of this 2023-24 season.
PSG will get a chance to see Tomori this UEFA Champions League group stage. The Parisians will face AC Milan on Oct. 25 and Nov. 7.
