Would Mbappé Bring Issues? Pundit Questions Real Madrid of Bringing PSG Star

Real Madrid wants Kylian Mbappé; there’s no question. The Spanish giants have viewed the Frenchman as the next focal point of their project going forward. However, they have yet to land the player.

When Mbappé decided not to trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025, all eyes turned to Los Blancos. It’s now their window to secure the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion. Nonetheless, is it the right move?

El Chiringuito pundit Pedro Bravo believes that Real Madrid bringing in the 24-year-old wouldn’t be ideal for their dressing room. He notes that the Paris Saint-Germain star’s ego could be an issue and bring problems.

“With the ego that Mbappé has … he can bring problems to the Madrid locker room,” Bravo said Tuesday.

Recently, at least this summer, ESPN’s Julien Laurens gave an honest take regarding how he sees this saga playing out. There are only a few days left until the Sept. 1 transfer deadline.

“It is either Real Madrid make a huge offer to PSG for Mbappé, or it will be impossible for him to leave this summer,” Laurens said.

Nonetheless, it appears that Real Madrid will likely wait and see if he becomes a free agent and not have to pay anything to PSG. Will it happen? Only time will tell if the gamble pays off.

  1. On a 50/50 basis u can’t tell … either his humble at Madrid or he gets frustrated by teammates… all of whom are super star… or he brings division
Madrid board have to look at the psychological evaluation of the after match… & not just how good he is.. or how many shirts he sales …. The club comes first above every player no matter ur market value… u don’t waste money simply because it’s available

  2. Pundits are funny, but let’s not pretend that Real’s locker room is not already filled with big egos who are ultra-competitive… Just like 99% of locker rooms in top teams. Talking about Mbappe is a good business, but it doesn’t mean we have to believe what they say…

Also, on another topic, can someone explain why they say they’ll only get Mbappe if he’s free? If you like the player so much why don’t you want to pay a fee for him?
