Over the last couple of transfer windows, Neymar Jr. has seen his name in the transfer rumor mill. Whether it’s to the Premier League or a return to FC Barcelona, there’s no shortage of speculation.
Nonetheless, the Brazilian remains at Paris Saint-Germain, and his former agent, André Cury, believes that if Neymar ever wants to leave the French capital, he will have to do one thing: Lower his wages.
“Neymar earns a lot of money and I don’t know if there will be a club that can pay him,” Cury said (via Foot Mercato). “To leave, he must lower his salary.
“Today, I don’t see anyone who can pay him what he earns, only clubs in Saudi Arabia. Today the Barcelona option is unfeasible because they can’t afford to pay it.”

With the exit of Lionel Messi and likely Kylian Mbappé, PSG will now lean on Neymar to be that star player on the squad. After several rumors, it seems the 31-year-old could be at the center of this project under new manager Luis Enrique.
Neymar is coming off a season-ending that he suffered in February. However, the PSG star recently returned to the pitch and scored a brace against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in a 3-0 friendly win. The veteran shows he’s more than ready to shoulder the load offensively.
