Ultimatum? Real Madrid to Drop Mbappé Interest if PSG Extension Happens – Report

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid’s relationship isn’t the best. As a result, the Spanish giants likely want Kylian Mbappé to leave as a free agent since it avoids dialogue with the Ligue 1 side.

El Chiringuito host Josep Pedrerol reports that those within Real Madrid intend to give the 24-year-old an ultimatum. According to Pedrerol, Los Blancos will not look for him if the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner extends with PSG.

The reason for this decision, Pedrerol says, is due to the people not wanting to see Real Madrid pay a transfer fee to PSG. Mbappé has yet to sign any extension, but reports are surfacing that he’s pondering the decision.

Mbappé began this entire saga when he opted note to trigger the option to extend his contract. With the Frenchman possibly forcing his way out, especially as a free agent, all eyes went to the La Liga side to see if they’d make a move.

Nonetheless, it seems they want to sign him as a free agent and avoid having to come up with a transfer fee. So the ball is likely in Mbappé’s court to see what he decides.

If the forward opts to stay, he’ll have to prepare for the backlash that will come his way from Spain.
