U-Turn? West Ham In Race to Challange Crystal Palace for PSG Outcast – Report

Paris Saint-Germain’s Hugo Ekitike has several clubs eyeing the young striker despite his performance last season in the French capital. Nonetheless, one of the more prominent clubs eyeing the 21-year-old is West Ham United.

While PSG wants the Frenchman to accept a move to Eintracht Frankfurt to help facilitate a transfer for Randal Kolo Muani, that doesn’t appear as though it will happen with the latest news on Tuesday.

As a result, the Hammers are ready to swoop in. Sky Sports News reports that West Ham is still in talks with PSG over the signing of Ekitike. Talks between the two clubs are centered around a permanent deal and a loan.

Even though the Frankfurt option looks bleak, the English club does face competition from a fellow Premier League rival. According to a report, Crystal Palace is the latest to express interest in the PSG striker.

The Ekitike file continues to take twists and turns, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if there’s one more unexpected pivot in these last few hours of the summer transfer window.
