The last few hours of the summer transfer window could be a rollercoaster for Paris Saint-Germain. According to recent reports, the capital club is looking to strengthen its wing position and has its sights set on Johan Bakayoko and Bradley Barcola.
Nonetheless, if the French giants want to secure these two players, they’ll face competition. Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Brentford has their eyes on Bakayoko and Barcola with the Sept. 1 transfer deadline approaching.
Brentford wants to improve their wing talent and likely feels these two would make them a better squad.

PSG has reportedly tabled a €25 million offer for the Belgian international. Still, negotiations have hit a roadblock as the bid falls short of the expectations set by PSV. As a result, it’s no surprise the Premier League club wants to swoop in for the player.
PSV is likely waiting for a more profitable offer despite PSG’s willingness to invest a substantial sum in Bakayoko’s services. The Dutch club is not obligated to sell the 20-year-old player, who is under contract until 2026.
Meanwhile, Barcola remains PSG’s top priority. Internally, there has been a lot of talk about offering a loan with a mandatory buy option for Barcola. Still, the current Ligue 1 champions must resolve to pay the total price.
If PSG cannot figure out the finances, then Brentford can swoop in for this target, too.
