Report Reveals Who Decided to Exclude Kylian Mbappé from Summer Tour Amid Real Madrid Rumors

Paris Saint-Germain’s summer tour in Japan and South Korea has ended. However, details about the exclusion of Kylian Mbappé are surfacing as to who made the decision.

The 24-year-old stayed in Paris with his teammates, who have no future in PSG’s project under new manager Luis Enrique. Nonetheless, Le Parisien has revealed who made the call to decide that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner wouldn’t be part of the summer tour squad.

According to the French media outlet, PSG sporting advisor Campos did not favor excluding the French superstar from the tour. Still, he had no choice but to comply as club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi decided to exclude Mbappé.

Al-Khelaifi’s decision to exclude the Frenchman came as the forward opted not to trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025. As a result, the situation is only getting messier, with PSG even believing that Mbappé has a pre-agreement with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid has never hidden its desire to land the PSG star. With Mbappé becoming a free agent next year, they are more inclined to pursue him. These next few weeks will determine whether the Ligue 1 champions can close the Frenchman’s chapter or linger into the new season.
