Real Madrid Beware? PSG Persists on Idea of Keeping Kylian Mbappé Past June 2024 – Report

Paris Saint-Germain is rolling the dice again with Kylian Mbappé. The 24-year-old will become a free agent next summer when his contract expires. So, the French giants run the risk of losing him for nothing.

Instead of forcing a sale, the capital club has built the team for the 2023-24 season around the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner. Furthermore, with Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. gone, PSG hopes to entice the Frenchman to stay.

While some may see an extension as a long shot, L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi reports that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has not given up on the idea of convincing Mbappé to extend his contract beyond June 2024.

Real Madrid remain lurking in the shadow and can begin talking to the French national team captain in January. The Spanish giants will want to secure a pre-contract to ensure he arrives at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Still, if PSG can get off to a good start domestically and internationally, perhaps it might be enough for Mbappé to see that PSG’s project is heading in the right direction.
