Paris Saint-Germain is kicking off their 2023-24 Ligue 1 season under new manager Luis Enrique against FC Lorient on Saturday at the Parc des Princes. The capital club looks to get off on the right foot, but they’ll be without two superstars.
L’Equipe is reporting the potential starting 11 for Enrique’s squad. The attack will not feature Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, or Neymar Jr., so it’s a new-look offense. The Spanish tactician will lean on Kang-In Lee, Gonçalo Ramos, and Marco Asensio.
🚨| Luis Enrique is expected to start Kang-in Lee in a 4-3-3 formation for PSG’s Ligue 1 opener against Lorient.

Meanwhile, the midfielder will also see the debut of Manuel Ugarte along with Vitinha and Warren Zaïre-Emery. As for the defense, it will feature two new faces, Lucas Hernandez and Milan Škriniar. As for the goalkeeper position, Gianluigi Donnarumma remains the familiar name.
PSG struggled last season at home and even ended their 2022-23 Ligue 1 season with a loss which spoiled the title celebrations. As a result, Matchday 1 will be an excellent way to see if Enrique can once again make the Parc des Princes a home-field advantage for the squad.
