Despite the calm exterior displayed by Kylian Mbappé during training at Paris Saint-Germain’s facilities, it’s the opposite in private. The 24-year-old isn’t with the capital club on their summer tour in Asia.
Mbappé began this transfer saga when he opted not to trigger his option to extend his contract until 2025. As a result, the French giants must find a way to sell the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to avoid losing him as a free agent.
L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi reports that Mbappé is frustrated behind closed doors and does not hide his annoyance, contrary to the smiling and invested image he portrays in public.

As the transfer saga continues, it is clear that Mbappé has no intention of making any financial gift to PSG. The Frenchman uses his leverage to earn the bonuses owed to him and possibly leaves on a free transfer next summer.
The summer transfer window is winding down, and these next few weeks will determine whether PSG can begin a new chapter or the situation will linger to start the 2023-24 season.
