PSG Sets High Bar: Marco Verratti Stays Unless Massive Bid Arrives – Report

The uncertainty surrounding Marco Verratti’s future at Paris Saint-Germain continues to make headlines. Verratti, along with Neymar Jr., is rumored to be on the move away from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, that information might not be entirely accurate. CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs tells PSG Report that despite recent reports linking the Italian midfielder to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, Verratti is poised to remain at PSG unless a bid in the range of €75-80 million materializes.

This summer has seen the Ligue 1 giants make a shift in how they’re building their squad. PSG no longer seeks superstar names and wants to construct a collective unit.

PSG has a couple of weeks to figure out departures until the summer transfer window closes on Sept. 1. The French club is content with keeping Verratti as the anchor for their midfield.

It will be interesting to see how this entire saga plays out and whether or not the 2020 UEFA Euro winner decides to begin a new challenge or be part of this project that the capital club is building under new manager Luis Enrique.
