Paris Saint-Germain continues to be winless to start the 2023–24 Ligue 1 season. Nonetheless, a positive development during Matchday 2 was the debut of Ousmane Dembélé with the French team.
The capital club had another draw after their 1-1 result against Toulouse FC on Saturday at Stadium TFC. While many expected to see the 26-year-old in the starting 11, he did come on as a substitute.
After the contest, Dembélé spoke with CANAL+ to share his thoughts on his debut.
“It’s nice to have my debut with PSG even if it’s frustrating to only come back with one point,” Dembélé told the French media outlet. “We had control of the match, we stupidly lost balls and the equalizer [from Toulouse] came from there. Coming back with a point is infuriating.”

The former FC Barcelona star will likely be a starter when PSG faces RC Lens next Saturday at the Parc des Princes. It will be a challenging opponent for the capital club, which seeks to get its first win of the season.
Lens nearly beat PSG for the Ligue 1 title last season, so it will take Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé playing at the top of their game to secure the win that puts the club on the right track.
