Chelsea is splashing the cash with new owner Todd Boehly taking over the Premier League club. The English side recently paid a British record fee of £115 million for midfielder Moises Caicedo. However, the spending isn’t stopping there.
The Blues are keen on improving their attack as the summer transfer window deadline day approaches. A report suggests that Boehly’s club targets Olympique Lyonnais winger Bradley Barcola.
After suffering a setback in their pursuit of Michael Olise, Barcola has emerged as a top contender on Chelsea’s shortlist. Nonetheless, the 20-year-old might not have Stamford Bridge in his plans.
Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea has taken information on the young Frenchman, but Barcola’s priority is PSG. The Lyon player likely sees playing alongside Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé as ideal.

Still, PSG has to devise an offer that convinces Lyon to sell. The Ligue 1 rival half-opened the door for a departure but refused an offer of €35 million with bonuses from the capital club.
As the Sept. 1 deadline date looms, the capital club sees the clock ticking if they want to land Barcola this summer.
