Nasser Al-Khelaïfi Breaks Silence on PSG’s Transfer Window, Mbappé-Real Madrid Rumors

The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga appears to have a temporary solution. It seems the 24-year-old will remain with Paris Saint-Germain and play this 2023–24 season on an expiring contract.

Recently, El Chiringuito host Josep Pedrerol believes if the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner commits to the Ligue 1 giants, it’s time for the La Liga side to move on.

Nonetheless, during the UEFA Champions League draw, in which PSG is in the group of death, club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi spoke to RMC Sport’s Arthur Perrot about Mbappé’s future in the French capital.

“We have more than 24 hours. Kylian is a PSG player,” Al-Khelaïfi told Perrot. “We have very good discussions with him. He is a magnificent player, as a person, and as a professional. We have discussed with the rest of his family.

“There are more than 24 hours for the transfer window. We will work to try to do something. If we can, why not? Otherwise, we are ready. We are good.”

Pedrerol also noted that the relationship between Real Madrid and PSG is cold. So it’s why the Spanish giants would prefer to acquire the winger as a free agent and avoid any talks with the capital club.

As a result, Los Blancos are betting that the player will reach free agency and avoid paying a fee to PSG. However, if the Frenchman signs an extension, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid drops their interest.
