Mbappé Rejects PSG’s Contract Extension Clause, Fuels Real Madrid Speculations – Report

Kylian Mbappé continues to stand firm that he has no desire to sign any contract with Paris Saint-Germain. The 24-year-old began this transfer saga when he opted not to trigger his option to extend his contract until 2025.

Sky Sports News’ Kaveh Solhekol reports that Mbappé has declined PSG’s offer of a contract extension that would have included a clause guaranteeing his departure next summer.

The French forward has firmly turned down any discussions regarding this offer. It’s an indication of his determination to explore other opportunities as a free agent. Speculation has been rife about his future, with Real Madrid being heavily linked to the talented striker.

Rumors have circulated that Mbappé has already reached a pre-agreement with Real Madrid. There are plenty of rumors signaling his intentions to join the Spanish giants next summer.

PSG’s management reportedly believes that the player has set his sights on a move to the Spanish capital, and they are now confronted with the prospect of losing him as a free agent.

The Ligue 1 champions have likely found Mbappé’s replacement in FC Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembélé. As a result, the capital club begins their Ligue 1 season, and they’re ready to do so without Mbappé.

It will be interesting to see how these final weeks of the summer transfer window transpire and whether the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner remains at PSG or finally moves to Real Madrid.
