Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva Eyes Spanish Move as PSG Pursuit Stalls – Report

Bernardo Silva’s name must be scratched off Paris Saint-Germain’s list of transfer targets. The capital club has been linked to the 28-year-old all summer. However, it seems this move won’t be happening.

Relevo’s Matteo Moretto reports that PSG’s pursuit of the 2023 UEFA Champions League winner hit a roadblock, with the Portuguese midfielder now expressing his desire to play in Spain.

As a result, any talks of Silva joining PSG have stopped, leaving the Parisian club disappointed in their pursuit of the talented playmaker.

Silva has been a standout performer for Manchester City since joining the club in 2017. After the Premier League club won the treble, there were reports that he could seek a new challenge. Nonetheless, it appears that was all noise.

Manchester City, who currently hold Bernardo Silva under contract until 2025, are in no hurry to sell the player. The English side values Silva as an integral part of their squad and will likely hold out for a suitable offer if any club intends to sign him.
