Lucas Hernandez Reveals Thoughts on Playing Kylian Mbappé After Draw vs. Toulouse

Kylian Mbappé made his 2023-24 Ligue 1 debut in Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-1 draw against Toulouse FC on Saturday at Stadium TFC. The 24-year-old opened the scoring by converting a penalty kick.

Nonetheless, the capital club couldn’t hold onto the lead after conceding a penalty, leading to a Toulouse goal. While it wasn’t the result PSG sought, the squad remains a work in progress.

After the contest, PSG defender Lucas Hernandez spoke about playing alongside Mbappé at the club level. Both players have played for the French national team. However, playing for a club team involves a different daily routine, including seeing each other more often.

“He’s an extraordinary player,” Hernandez told RTL France’s Baptiste Durieux. “Everybody knows it. It is a pride to be able to play with him. We get along very, very well. Hoping that this year, he helps us on the pitch. He is a very important player for PSG.”

PSG and Mbappé will look to secure the squad’s first win of the season when they host RC Lens next Saturday at the Parc des Princes. It will be challenging, considering Lens nearly beat the French giants for the Ligue 1 title last season.

  1. Mbappe is an excellent player. Every one knows it. Mr coach , please stop taking chances if you want your team to win. No coach or manager will play around with a hat trick world cup winner.
Forget the past and start with Mbappe together with Dembele to give your team confidence. I’m a supporter who loves PSG. I want us to win UEFA Cup.
