The future of Kylian Mbappé is a mystery at this point. It’s hard to decipher where the 24-year-old will stay long-term. When he opted not to trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025, many assumed his time at Paris Saint-Germain was over.
During the summer, rumors circulated about Real Madrid’s interest in Mbappé. However, Mbappé and PSG reached an agreement that allowed him to rejoin the team after training separately.
Those whispers haven’t disappeared, as the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will still become a free agent next summer. Nonetheless, MARCA reports that the Spanish club has been waiting for a sign to pursue the forward.
According to the information, the offices of Real Madrid have been filled with anticipation, with the possibility of a call from Mbappé. Regardless, despite expectations, the anticipated call has yet to happen.

🚨| Real Madrid’s roadmap is clear & doesn’t depend on anyone. If there’s a possibility to sign Mbappé in a few months, they will TRY but with a pre-contract signed. @marca #rmalive pic.twitter.com/DZy1LIB0bM

Real Madrid’s interest in Mbappé remains strong despite not receiving the expected call. The club is open to exploring his signing in the future, but only under different circumstances.
If an opportunity arises in the coming months to secure Mbappé’s services, Real Madrid is willing to pursue it, but only with a pre-contract signed.
Furthermore, there are no indications that the La Liga team will pursue the forward since the leadership of Los Blancos is steadfast in their conviction that no additional signings will be made during this summer transfer window.
