The 24-year-old playing at the Parc des Princes for the Matchday 1 appears unlikely. RMC Sport reports the Frenchman will continue training with the players who don’t factor into PSG’s project under Luis Enrique.
However, a decision has yet to be made by the capital club as to whether he will play against FC Lorient. Nonetheless, he may be on the bench or in the stands. PSG manager Luis Enrique feels uncomfortable with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner’s situation.
Club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi understands Enrique’s embarrassment, while the Spanish technician wants to play Mbappé. However, the new coach of the Parisian club knew when he landed in Paris that he would face this thorny issue.
Al-Khelaifi ‘s position has not changed on the Mbappé case. The Qatari leader does not understand why the player has not accepted the sale commitment clause next summer and why the club finds itself in this “incomprehensible” situation when he has given him everything.
