Real Madrid continues to need a striker for the 2023-24 season. However, it seems likely that Kylian Mbappé will remain with Paris Saint-Germain for this campaign.
Recently, RMC Sports’ Jérôme Rothen believes that manager Luis Enrique played a role in the 24-year-old’s reinstatement into the first-team. Nonetheless, El Chiringuito host Josep Pedrerol believes the Frenchman staying this season is best for Real Madrid.
Pedrerol notes that the ideal situation for Los Blancos will be if the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion arrives as a free agent next summer. While it appears Mbappé and PSG are working on their relationship, he’s still yet to sign a contract extension.
As a result, the forward controls where he’ll continue his career. Pedrerol continues by saying that moving to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium depends on Mbappé.
🔜"Lo mejor para el MADRID es que no renueve MBAPPÉ y llegue LIBRE en 2024".
😮"La palabra IMPOSIBLE no se puede utilizar, depende de la VOLUNTAD de KYLIAN".

Still, a move this summer is possible, as Pedrerol also adds that there’s one way the PSG star could join the Spanish giants.
“The only way Kylian Mbappé can join Real Madrid this summer is if he speaks to PSG and gets the letter of freedom,” Pedrerol said. “It is difficult, but not impossible.”
Will a move happen leading up to the Sept. 1 transfer deadline day? It’s unlikely, but with this saga’s twist, you cannot rule anything out.
