From Paris to London? PSG Midfielder Linked to Chelsea as Moises Caicedo Deal Stalls – Report

Chelsea could go to Plan B after two unsuccessful bids for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo. Nonetheless, with only a few weeks left until the summer transfer window closes, the Blues might have to look at other options.

While they could reevaluate and meet the £100 million price tag on the Ecuador international, if they don’t, then it’s time to move on. Furthermore, the Premier League club could see a 2022 FIFA World Cup winner as an alternative.

The Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella reports Chelsea’s pursuit of strengthening their midfield has taken an intriguing turn as they express interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes.

PSG is keen to move on from the Argentine, who spent last season on loan at Juventus. He also didn’t join the squad on their trip to Japan and South Korea. Paredes has one more year left on his contract, and the capital club will likely want to recoup whatever fee they can for him.

A move to Stamford Bridge would also see the midfielder reunite with Mauricio Pochettino. So it comes as no surprise that Pochettino would want a reunion.

It will be interesting to see whether Chelsea tries another attempt for Caicedo or if they go for a backup plan like Paredes. These next few weeks should be intriguing to follow.
