Fabrizio Romano: Mbappé Rejects PSG’s Latest Contract Offer, Fuels Real Madrid Rumors

The Kylian Mbappé transfer continues to drag on. The latest regarding the 24-year-old reveals he has no intention of signing any contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Fabrizio Romano reports that PSG extended an enticing proposal to Mbappé, featuring a guaranteed sale clause set for the summer of 2024. However, the French striker’s rejection suggests his aspirations lie beyond his current contract.

Romano adds that the reported contract offer had a carefully crafted guaranteed sale clause for the 2024 summer transfer window. Still, that was not enough to sway Mbappé’s decision.

PSG reportedly believes that the star forward eyes a move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2024. A move to the Spanish capital next year could be as a free agent.

As a result, this maneuver would allow Mbappé to capitalize on a lucrative deal with a considerable financial package, a strategy PSG perceives as his motivation.

While the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has his future uncertain, he remains training with players who won’t be part of Luis Enrique’s project. Furthermore, a decision has yet to be made on whether he will play against FC Lorient on Aug. 12.
