The future of Hugo Ekitike isn’t at Paris Saint-Germain, and the 21-year-old could be packing his bags in the next few hours and heading to Germany. Ekitke has been in the rumor mill all summer as a deal appears imminent for the Frenchman.
Sky Sports News’ Florian Plettenberg reports that PSG and Eintracht Frankfurt have reached a deal for Ekitike. The German club is now in talks with the Frenchman to find an agreement.
However, it seems that the Bundesliga side will receive a special deal as the Ligue 1 giants have rejected offers of around € 35M plus bonuses for the 21-year-old striker. So why is Frankfurt getting a special deal?
Simple, PSG wants Randal Kolo Muani, and perhaps the French club believes a favorable deal for Ekitike will result in a promising transfer for the Frankfurt striker.
Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna adds further confirmation with his reporting that the former Stade de Reims goal scorer is Frankfurt-bound.
Plettenberg also reported that Frankfurt has informed PSG that they will not accept the €80 million offer for Kolo Muani. Paris is preparing a new proposal but will not pay €100 million. Nonetheless, the striker is pushing for the move.
Will all these moves happen? There are only a handful of hours to find out.
