While Paris Saint-Germain is working on files to add to the squad, they must also focus on exits. One of the players who could be on his way out for a second consecutive season is Julian Draxler.

Draxler played the 2022–23 season with SL Benfica, which didn’t include an option or obligation to purchase. Still, the Portuguese side wouldn’t attempt to keep the player permanently.

Nonetheless, the Germany international might have a suitor right as the summer transfer window is about to close. RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins reports that the Ligue 1 giants and Crystal Palace are discussing a transfer involving Draxler.

Furthermore, the 29-year-old is keen on a move to London, and perhaps joining the mid-table Premier League club could allow him to salvage the remaining years of his career.

Crystal Palace could use Draxler’s offensive capabilities after losing Wilfried Zaha this summer. The 30-year-old left the English club to join Süper Lig club Galatasaray.

As for Draxler, he’s more than capable of playing an attacking midfield role and has experience out on the left wing. The Eagles are currently 11th in the Premier League table with three points after two matches.
