A new year, and Paris Saint-Germain continues to deal with players getting hit by the injury bug. First, it was Kang-in Lee who injured his left quadriceps. Now, it’s Gonçalo Ramos.
L’Equipe reports that Ramos is not in the group that will face RC Lens on Saturday at the Parc des Princes. According to the French media outlet, the Portugal international suffers from muscle discomfort.
The information doesn’t reveal how long the striker will be out, but PSG must proceed cautiously. Nonetheless, this injury could accelerate their pursuit of landing another striker before the summer transfer window closes.

Still, to have Lee and Ramos out of the starting 11 is disappointing. Both are new players and part of this new approach by the Ligue 1 giants in prioritizing building a team even if it doesn’t have any superstar names.
Lee will likely be the creative midfielder, and Ramos could finally take that No. 9 role off Kylian Mbappé’s hands. Now, it will be interesting to see how long it will be until both are out on the pitch.
