The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga took a turn over the last few days. Reports suggest ongoing talks for a potential contract extension between the 24-year-old and Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappé is now training with the first-team, which coincides with Neymar Jr. leaving the capital club to join Al-Hilal. There are conflicting reports as to what led to PSG making this change.
Nonetheless, El Chiringuito host Josep Pedrerol states that if the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner decides to extend his contract with PSG, it signifies that he has no interest in joining Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are operating with the business-as-usual mentality. However, the Spanish media isn’t taking a potential Mbappé extension well.
A panelist on Pedrerol’s show, Juanma Rodríguez, stated on Twitter that Real Madrid shouldn’t be surprised by the reported decision that Mbappé intends to extend his contract.
“If it is true that Real Madrid would be very surprised if [Mbappé] deceived to renew with PSG, it is that Real Madrid still does not know the type of person that deceived [them],” Rodríguez tweeted. “And that is very worrying.”
As the Sept. 1 summer transfer deadline nears, this saga should be entering a new chapter, especially if the Frenchman doesn’t sign a new contract.
