Bad News for Real Madrid? Mbappé Contract Extension Reportedly Ready

The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga could be ending entirely soon. After the 24-year-old opted not to trigger his option to extend his contract until 2025. As a result, many assumed that the Frenchman would leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

However, that may not be the case. Tuttomercatoweb’s Marco Conterio reports that Mbappé’s contract extension until 2026 is ready. There’s also a gentlemen’s private agreement with a sale clause in summer 2024.

PSG has done a 360 turn with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner. After the winger wasn’t part of the summer tour, creating more speculation that a move to Real Madrid was coming soon.

MARCA recently reported that the Meringues have laid out to the Frenchman what must occur if he wants to join them for the 2024-25 season. Mbappé can only sign for Real Madrid in the future if he does not renew with PSG.

Furthermore, the Spanish club has to arrive on Jan. 2, 2024, in a position to sign a commitment, something that did not happen in 2022. Will all this happen? Well, not if the PSG star signs an extension.
