Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported that Manchester United will make their opening official proposal to Atalanta for promising Danish talent Rasmus Højlund in the coming days.
According to Romano, Manchester United is eager to secure Højlund’s services. Furthermore, the English club is keen to avoid any potential hijack from PSG, who have been in talks with the player’s camp.

Højlund has emerged as one of the brightest prospects in European football, attracting interest from several top clubs across the continent. The Atalanta star scored 16 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions during the 2022-23 season.
While Højlund’s contract with Atalanta will not expire until 2027, the Italian club is aware of the mounting interest in their prized asset.
This knowledge could drive up the player’s valuation, making it even more critical for Manchester United to act swiftly in securing the deal, especially if it’s PSG in the mix.
