Paris Saint-Germain took a stand on Friday regarding the Kylian Mbappé transfer saga. The capital club excluded him from the summer tour to Japan and South Korea.
However, the question that some will ask is how did PSG keep this news close to the chest? L’Equipe reports that the PSG Japan Tour organizers didn’t plan Mbappé’s exclusion from the group or most of the club’s teams.
PSG’s management side decided in secrecy, which might explain why there were no reports leading up to the squad announcement.

The 24-year-old’s exclusion from the tour gives Mbappé a choice. If he chooses to remain and not sign a new contract, he will be phased out until he becomes a free agent next summer.
Mbappé leaving on a free transfer isn’t ideal for the Ligue 1 giants. The best-case scenario for PSG is to ensure they recoup a fee for the player. Nonetheless, both parties are marching toward a split, so it’s ideal for them to begin a fresh start this upcoming 2023-24 season.
