Ronald Koeman Weighs in on Xavi Simons’ Future Amid PSG and Arsenal Interest

Ronald Koeman has shared his thoughts on the future of talented youngster Xavi Simons. The midfielder is currently linked with a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.

Koeman commented on the situation as PSG triggers a €6 million buy-back clause to bring the player back from PSV Eindhoven. 

The former Barcelona manager emphasized the importance of Simons’ development. He urged the player to carefully consider his options, weighing the potential opportunities for growth and playing time.

“Xavi Simons is a good boy,” Koeman told Mundo Deportivo. “He called me this summer to talk to me about his future. It’s important that he has to play, he did a good job playing for PSV and I hope he stays there because he plays everything.

“In a stronger team, he doesn’t play much. For a youngster, you have to find the best way to exploit. He’s a great player and he’ll be a great player.”

Simons impressed in his first year at PSV last season. His performances and potential are attracting attention from the English and French giants. The Netherlands international scored 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.
