FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently revealed that the Spanish side still owes a significant salary to Lionel Messi. However, the club chief didn’t tell the exact sum.
GOAL France didn’t relay the information on the current figures that Barcelona owes Messi. Still, they shared the amount the Catalan side owed the Argentine once he left them in 2021 to join Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the French media outlet, Messi was still owed €52 million when he left the Spanish giants.

Despite the Argentine superstar’s decision to move to Inter Miami this summer, Barcelona’s president has confirmed they’re making payments to Messi until 2025 as part of their deferred agreement.
