Despite the Argentine superstar’s decision to move to Inter Miami this summer, Barcelona’s president has confirmed they’re making payments to Messi until 2025 as part of their deferred agreement.
The move to Inter Miami marks a new chapter in Messi’s illustrious career, as he embarks on a new footballing adventure in the United States. The staggering debt owed to Messi by Barcelona serves as a reminder of the financial challenges the Catalan club faced in recent years.
Furthermore, they still have hurdles to clear when making transfers considering Barcelona has to balance the books. Nonetheless, the current figures owed to Messi will likely come out soon.
