The sports media outlet issued its ESPN FC 100 ranking, and the Morocco international is at the top. Hakimi is ahead of some notable names currently playing in the Premier League.

Despite the 24-year-old playing in Ligue 1, he’s ahead of Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier, who’s No. 2.
Hakimi is also better than Manchester City’s Kyle Walker and Chelsea’s Reece James, per the ranking. Additionally, Hakimi is ahead of FC Barcelona’s Jules Kounde to round out the top five.
